An audit is an inspection of a firm’s financial report. An audit firm or an independent party will run the firm’s financial report. The report will follow the requirements set out in the Hong Kong Company Ordinance and tax obligations outlined in the Inland Revenue Ordinance.
In order to follow the Ordinance, all Hong Kong business need to audit their financial reports every year. At the same time, to further support an audit report, auditors will require the financial reports, a balance sheet, an income statement and a cash flow statement.
During an audit, auditors will check a company’s financial reports to see if the facts presented are a fair and accurate reflection of the company. Next, your auditors will prepare audited financial statements and profits tax computations based on the facts provided. After that, they will hand it in to the Hong Kong’s Inland Revenue Department (“IRD”) for review. The IRD will then use these documents to check the tax duty of the firm for that financial year. As such, we can make sure that your tax duties is done without error.
